LEGISLATION

The establishment and operation of the Database of Artemis is bound by the Protection of Private Data and by the Processing of Personal Data (Protection of Individuals) Law 138(I) 2001 and the relevant decisions of the Commissioner for the Protection of Personal Data.

According to the above Law, all personal data must be accurate, regularly updated, and relevant to the purpose of its processing and collected for specific, well-defined and lawful purposes.

Artemis fully appreciates the responsibility it undertakes in serving the public interest and has adjusted the development and operation of its Database in such a way that personal protection is guaranteed through the processing of its Data.

The Company has notified in writing the Commissioner for the Protection of Personal Data about the establishment and operation of its Database.

The legal framework based on which Artemis operates also includes:

• The Central Bank of Cyprus Directive to the banks concerning the exchange of Data for the evaluation of customers’ creditworthiness (Sept. 2010).
• The Law on credit agreements for consumers (Law 106(I)/2010).
• The Central Bank of Cyprus Directive for Outsourcing (May 2006).
